Why Am I Here?
It’s the age-old question, right?
Why am I here?
Is the point of life just to exist? To throw all caution to the wind and float through with no cares? Or is it to play by the rules—check the boxes society sets out for us and call it good?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve wrestled with those questions. As a little girl, I dreamed of becoming a country singer one day and joining the Peace Corps the next. (Big goals, right?) Looking back, there was always a pattern: I just wanted to help people. I wanted them to feel like they mattered—because deep down, I wanted to feel like I mattered too.
The problem? I could never quite grab hold of the one thing I was “supposed” to do. I knew I had talents. I knew I had drive. But purpose? That felt like something just out of reach.
Chasing Purpose in All the Wrong Places
So I did what so many of us do: I searched everywhere.
I tried new jobs, downloaded trainings, bought courses, signed up for seminars—you name it. If there was a self-help or “find your calling” book, I probably read it. Everyone kept saying: “Find your why.”
But honestly—what does that even mean?
Or they’d say: “Find your passion!”
The problem is, passion is fickle. I can be passionate about something one day and completely over it the next. Was I really supposed to stake my whole life on that?
Then came the endless lists of “meaningful” exercises:
Write your eulogy.
Put a timer on your life.
Make a vision board.
Set goals on top of goals on top of goals.
It was overwhelming. So I started and stopped A LOT of things. I never quite pushed myself past the fear because I didn’t know where I was heading.
Life Happened (And So Did God)
I sought out on a journey working to find what my meaning or purpose was.
I stayed single. I traveled. I gained experience in every role I felt like I should try. I came up with a million ideas of what I thought I wanted, and never did them. I fell in love. I got married. I had babies. We bought a business. Bought a house. You know the typical things (and some not so typical) that we are 'supposed to do,' And honestly, it is ALL wonderful, and beautiful, and I have been beyond blessed. So why was I still feeling like I wasn't doing enough?
In each season, I tried to finally 'get there' - to feel accomplished and whole - I was trying to find meaning and purpose solely by the role I was in or what I was doing—wife, mom, friend, business owner.
But here’s the thing: purpose and meaning aren't found in a role.
God, in His beautifully intricate way, kept pulling me back to the same truth: our meaning in life is to glorify Him and share His love. But how we do that? That’s where our unique gifts come in.
For me, I discovered that my purpose is to support the growth of others so they can serve the world in their own unique ways. And the talents God gave me to do that are through writing, speaking, coaching—and, yes, even co-owning a cabinet business with my husband. (God has a sense of humor, doesn’t He?)
Purpose Isn’t a Job Title
Once I realized my purpose wasn’t locked inside a single role or career, everything changed. My purpose is who God created me to be on the inside—a blend of my natural gifts and the skills I’ve gathered along the way.
Now, I get to live it out as a mom, a wife, a coach, a business owner, and a friend. And instead of searching for meaning in each role, I bring my purpose into each role. That shift has made all the difference.
Why CLEAR Coaching Exists
That’s why I created CLEAR Coaching. Because I know what it feels like to spin your wheels—hungry for clarity, longing for peace, and craving direction.
CLEAR is built around one mission: to give you the space and time to discover what really matters, so you can live your life with intention and joy.
I believe your purpose isn’t “out there” waiting for you to stumble across it. It’s already inside you. You just need space, clarity, and support to uncover it. And I’d be honored to walk alongside you in that journey.
So… why am I here?
Simply put. To help you discover why you’re here and live it out.
I beyond excited to finally be living this part of my story alongside of you and pray even if you never work with me directly, that the content I provide will bless you in some way.
