
It's So Simple, It's Hard
Simplicity. Just saying the word feels like a breath of fresh air, doesn’t it? In a world that’s constantly buzzing with distractions, simplicity is the one thing we all crave—but it’s also the one thing that feels so hard to achieve.

I get it because I’ve been there.
With a blended family of six kids, running a small business with my husband, and being the kind of person who loves to say “yes” to everything (because FOMO is real), I’ve spent years chasing balance. Here’s what would happen next: I’d get so frustrated with myself for putting things off that I’d dive in headfirst without a plan or strategy. And guess what? It wouldn’t stick. I’d burn out, feel disappointed in myself, and spiral into a cycle of shame and paralysis.
Rinse and repeat every year.
I’d set big goals in January with all the fire and passion in the world, only to realize by December 31st that I’d spent most of my time putting out fires, juggling kids’ schedules, managing my business, and trying to keep my marriage and sanity intact.
And those goals? They’d still be sitting there waiting for me…next year.
The Turning Point
One day, I got tired of living in this endless loop of overwhelm and frustration. So, I started asking myself some hard questions:
How can I figure out my priorities when everything feels like a priority?
How can I set goals that actually feel achievable?
How can I stay focused on what matters most—my business and my family?

Do distractions still pop up? Of course! Life doesn’t stop being life just because you have a plan. But now, those distractions don’t derail me like they used to because I’ve built systems that work for me instead of against me.
